If you have thought about getting some chickens for your backyard then this workshop will give you a great overview of what you will be in for.

We will cover choosing the right breed for your family, where to source your chickens from, hatching your own or buying point of lay, housing, feeding, council regulations, keep your chickens healthy.

Australians on the Western Front 1918 tells the story of courageous Australian troops that held the line as ‘shock troops’ during World War 1. David W Cameron discusses his books, written with personal accounts from the diaries of soldiers, with journalist and author Scott Bevan, whose grandfather served on the Western Front.

Heroes of Hamel

2018 marks the 100th anniversary of The Battle of Hamel. Through family history research Stephen Dando-Collins discovered more than the importance of this battle to World War I. He found a family connection and the lasting and personal impact that the war had on those who came home. Stephen discusses how national and family history merge, and his book Heroes of Hamel with Karen Crofts, Director Hunter Writers Centre. Bookings are essential.
