Digital Inclusions is a community-focused not-for-profit social enterprise based in Northern Territory with a goal of helping make the lives of Australians enriched by improving and addressing their digital exclusions in the state. Digital Inclusions provide exciting workshops and face to face in-depth training sessions for over 50’s, people with disability, Job seekers, parents returning to work, Indigenous people as well as people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds

The workshops are designed to deliver a range of resources specifically designed to support the target community to increase their confidence, skills and online safety when they use the internet and everyday technology. They will be able to learn the basics of going online, including:

  • Being safe while online
  • Talking to or seeing family and friends who live far away, more often
  • Finding new friends or old friends who share similar interests and hobbies
  • Keeping up to date with what’s happening in their community and around the world
  • Shopping online, safely and securely, without leaving home.

Are you interested in learning to use computers or the internet, but not sure where to start?

Sign up for a 4-week course for computer beginners designed to introduce people to basic computing skills and the Internet. Small class sizes take the stress away from learning and all participants get their own training booklet to take home.

4 Week Course topics include:

  1. Introduction to computers: includes an introduction to word processing software
  2. Introduction to the internet
  3. Introduction to email
  4. Review and Next Steps
  • Places limited. Registration essential.

Please remember if booking into a course there is an expected commitment to attend all 4 lessons.

This class runs from 9am – 10.30am on the dates below:

All attendees will receive confirmation of completion and relevant certificates compiled in folder (The Passport) .  Opportunity to continue self paced in some sections of the program. Opportunity to follow on and add to the folder with other preaccredited and accredited courses and opportunities.

5th Sept Tax File Number application

6th September – Medicare card application

7th September – Police check

8th September – My Gov

9th September – Working With Children check

23rd October – First Aid

Dates TBC for balance of available sessions and dependent on enrollments.

Cost per student is $10 plus relevant submission fees as required (ie TFN free/Police check $35.50 etc.)

Students will receive printed confirmation of above including participation certificate and Accreditation Certificate for First Aid.
