Dear friends and colleagues,
As ever so often in our era of modern information and communication
technologies, unexpected and persistent technical challenges arise and have
to be surmounted right when deadlines need to be met...
I am, nevertheless, happy to announce that the International Adult
Learners' Week website has finally been set up on UIE's homepage under the
following address: http://www.unesco.org/education/uie/InternationalALW
It has been my earnest aspiration to pay reference to the adult learners
weeks and learning celebrations undertaken in the various countries (in the
past and present). I hope I have been able to make the best use of all the
information I gathered from printed materials, websites, & telephone
conversations and, last but not least, from the abstracts prepared by
several of you on the basis of my short questionnaire. As I have emphasized
previously and have indicated on this website, all the information
displayed is considered to be in the process of being continuously improved
and up-dated - a collective task of all of us - including new sections and
esthetic refinements.
