Subject: Adult Learners Week / He Tangata Matauranga

This is a public letter from The National Resource Centre for Adult
Education and Community Learning.

We would like to express our warm thanks to the National Coordinating
Committee of Adult Learners's Week/ He Tangata Matauranga for their efforts
in making this week happen. If it wasn't for them there would have been no
great week. I am aware of the effort that Carol Atkin, Bernadette Jacobs,
Phillipa Pitcher, Analiese Robertson and Joyce Stalker (plus their admin
assistants Susan Walsh & Gemma Piercy) put in to making this happen, and
thank them on behalf of the Trust. We have written separately but also
wished to make this public statement.

Great work by a very busy team.

Finally I would like to congratulate Literacy Aotearoa on being awarded The
UNESCO medal for an Honorable Mention, and for receiving a National Award
from NRC and ACEA. Also to David Russell of the Consumer's Institute for
being awarded the individual award from NRC and ACEA.

Hoping you had a busy and rewarding week.

Peter
