International Adult Learners Week Forum
Leicester 19-21 May 2000
This is the first of two emails outlining the outcomes of our weekend
meeting. It is being written immediately after the meeting ended so that
everyone can look at it soon and start preparing responses and action. This
first email is a summary of the final plan of action. A second email will
follow and it will include the detailed summary of small group meetings held
on 9 separate topics.

Responsibilities
Responsibility for final editorial, and production to be coordinated by Sica
Martinez (NIACE - UK) and Markus Weil (SVEB - Switzerland). The final
product will aim to be an attractive and engaging promotion of ALW and
inspiration for coordinating ALWs in those countries new to the concept.
Joe Samuels (AETASA - South Africa; and Celita Eccher REPEM - Uruguay) to
ensure that the perspective from the 'south' is in the document. Tony Brown
(ALA - Australia) to oversee perspective from the 'north'.
Tasks to be completed:
The most important task is for you to contribute information, stories, and
experiences under the dot points listed above.
So respond in this email forum and highlight the issue you wish to take-up
in the Subject line of the email.
