Counting the cost

How many times have you heard someone say they’re ‘no good at maths’? And yet we live in a world where confidence with numbers is more important than ever. Maybe the trick is to simply look at maths in a different way.

Counting the costThink about it!

We need maths in a whole range of activities we’re involved in everyday life, from calculating how much petrol you get to the tank to measuring ingredients for a recipe, let alone balancing a budget.

At work, maths skills are more in demand than ever as technology puts more demands on us and we need to upgrade our skills to do new and different jobs.

So if numbers aren’t your thing perhaps it’s time to try making them add up for you. The best place to start is to think about the things you’d love to be able to do.

Having a clear purpose and motivation for learning maths is half the battle.
